Turn a single skein into something spectacular!
Whether you knit, crochet, weave, twist, braid, sculpt, or improvise your way through a project, we want to see what you can make using just one skein of yarn. This program is open to ALL ages and skill levels.
Here’s how it works:
- Register to claim your grab-and-go kit.
Each kit includes one skein of yarn (you’ll get to pick your favorite!) and a nameplate to title your masterpiece. Registration is required so we can ensure there's enough yarn for everyone. - Pick up your kit between January 12 - January 23.
Swing by the library to grab your supplies and start creating! - Create your artwork!
You can add fun embellishments like buttons, googly eyes, or other decorative bits. You may also incorporate small amounts of yarn from other skeins—just keep the final piece roughly within the size of a single skein. (So… no full-size sweaters this time!) - Drop off your finished piece by February 9.
We’ll collect everyone’s creations for a community art display. - Join us for the gallery-style Art Show on February 12!
Come admire the incredible variety of one-skein wonders made by your fellow creators.
Let your imagination run wild, and show us what amazing things one skein of yarn can become! Registration starts January 2nd. Get ready to make something truly unique.
