Peep Dioramas

Make a diorama showing a scene from your favorite book using marshmallow Peeps as the characters!  Will it be "Charlotte's Peep"?  "The Lightning Peep"?  "Hunger Peeps?"  It can be anything, so get ready to be creative!

Anyone in grades 3-12 can participate.  No registration needed!  All of the dioramas will be put on display in the library for everyone to enjoy through the end of April.

You have two options for making your diorama:

Make your diorama in the Library on Thursday, April 10, anytime between 3-5 pm!  We will have lots of Peeps, art supplies, and boxes available, though you can bring your own if you have something very particular that you need for your project.  Give yourself lots of time to finish your diorama, at least 30-60 minutes.  We also recommend coming to this event with an idea for what you want to make ready to go to make the creative process at the Library go more smoothly:

• What book will you show in your diorama?
• What particular scene do you want to make?
• What characters, props, or scenery do you need?

Make your diorama at home!  You will need to provide your own art supplies.  Peeps and boxes will be handed out while supplies last at the Children's Desk starting on April 11 if you need them, but when they're gone, they're gone!  Bring your finished diorama back to the library by Wednesday, April 15 so that we can put it on display.
